Interactive and Multimedia Design emphasises the development of computer graphics technology in the new media, creating opportunities in the field of broadcast design, motion graphics, special effects, and web design.

This course offers students an innovative learning environment to develop their knowledge and skills in various digital media curriculum ranging from time-based media, online media such as web and mobile applications, interactive media such as experiential design, user experience and interface design to digital fabrication and production. At the end of the course, students are able to gain interpersonal and hands on production skills which will lead them to wider career paths and get acquainted with the latest information technology in digital media applications.



Exceptional visual design talent

Our interactive designer is responsible for designing and building microsites, landing pages and banner ads. Combining strong interactive and user-experience thinking with exceptional visual design talent, they create digital products to drive successful campaigns. Generally their job duties involve design and user-experience to improve engagement, leverage best practices to improve turnaround and quality. They are also trained to have a strong visual design skills, excellent communication skills and understanding of conversion funnel.

First Year Interactive and Multimedia Components

Interactive Design Principles of Practice: Develop the skills to learn concepts and processes relating to ideation, planning and prototyping of interactive design solution, as well as the ability to prepare effective proposals and provide purposeful interactive experience.

Second Year Interactive and Multimedia Components

A significant focus will be placed on project-based learning through the development of interactive design and technical solutions in response to creative and technical briefs.

When you join the programme, you will be assigned a personal tutor who will provide personal support throughout the course.

Modular by Distance Learning

In addition, each module has a designated moderator who co-ordinates the course activities, discussion and advice to help you with the organisation of your work, including information on assessment, study skills and recommended reading. While working through the module materials you will be able to interact with your personal tutor and your fellow students through module-specific activities.


We have multiple start dates throughout the year so you have the option of choosing when to commence your studies with us. You can study at home, in your own time and at your own pace, so you can combine achieving a qualification with other commitments. Once you completed 7 core semesters, you will be awarded with Foundation Degree of Interactive and Multimedia Design.



Create prototypes from visual designs

Most of our graduates are trained to have a strong background in both design and web programming languages so they could create prototypes from visual designs and wireframes as a web designer.

They have the ability to create visual concepts in line with brand and usability concepts, define graphic component and standards, and drive creative projects from start to finish. In addition, they also have the understanding of web standards, compatibility and best practices, possess the ability to work in a team and independently.
